Lecture SARAH NEMTSOV (DE)
TITLE: Synths & Space
In my lecture I will be talking about my love for analogue synthesizers and how they appear in my works, their “physicality”, symbolism, how they’re getting more and more “room” in some of my compositions and I’ll speak about their relation to space (for me) in general – synths and space.
[Pieces and synths I will present: Kammer (2020) for toypiano, minicasio and korg monotron minisynths – NUN IV (2021) for bassflute and synthesizer (Prophet 12) with effects, transducer, thundersheet and video – starlings, sparrows (2022) for amplified clarinet, cello, prepared piano with synthesizer (Moog Subsequent25) – Halle (2022) for synthesizer solo (including Polivoks soviet analogue synth, virtual synth Mysteria and anyma phi) – Chesed (2022) for 6 instruments (including a Minimoog Model D) with electronics and objects]
