Septian Dwi Cahyo - [a]saga
for flute, piano, violin and viola

[a]saga is a series of works for 4 instruments. These pieces consist of four different parts and have a Lego-like character. This means that although these pieces are different and assembled at different times, in the end, when the set is complete, the player can play all the pieces at the same time and create different sound worlds. This is similar to Lego, where each piece stands on its own, but when these pieces are put together, they form one big landscape. Therefore, this piece can be played as a whole by putting all the pieces together, or it can be played individually, one series at a time.

Tymon Zgorzelski - Conjunction no. 4
for alto flute, violin, viola and grand piano with 3 e-bows

Conjunction no. 4 is the fourth piece in a series of Conjunctions where I explore clear rhythmic material. The word ‘conjunction’ here relates to the astronomical phenomenon, the conjunction of spheres. Conjunctions have the rhythm of cyclical events and there is also the idea of being in or out of phase. In this particular piece, I also focus on the sound qualities of piano with 3 e-bows. The rest of the ensemble is treated mostly as a unity, resonance or amplification of the piano in a vast (cosmic?) space.

Wojciech Błażejczyk - Spirits of the Dead
for flute, violin and viola

The piece was composed in 2016 for In:te:gro trio. It is dedicated to the memory of Helena Kosowska. Lyrics are based on fragment of Edgar Allan Poe's poem Spirits Of The Dead:

Edgar Alan Poe
Spirits of the Dead

Thy soul shall find itself alone
’Mid dark thoughts of the gray tombstone—
Not one, of all the crowd, to pry
Into thine hour of secrecy.

Be silent in that solitude,
Which is not loneliness—for then
The spirits of the dead who stood
In life before thee are again
In death around thee—and their will
Shall overshadow thee: be still.

Shengteng Zhang - Glass core
for ensemble and video
